She was blindfolded, and duct tape was placed on her mouth and wrapped around her hands and feet. The suspect then drove her around for about ten minutes before stopping in an alley in Detroit. Baby killer gets life in prison
WNEP: Chris Fitzpatrick admitted to killing his newborn daughter by crushing her with a cinder block on the day she was born. He and the baby’s mother, Jennifer Barrise, struggle with mental handicaps. They discussed abortion and giving the baby up for adoption, but when the baby was born, Fitzpatrick made a snap decision to take the infant to where he worked near Hamlin, kill her with a cinder block, and bury her body. Barrise also faces homicide charges for not trying to stop her boyfriend from killing the baby.

The decision notes that Moe, when asked whether she would have an abortion, told Harms she “wouldn’t do that,” but that based on her “substantial delusional beliefs,” Harms found Moe incompetent to make a decision.

Blacks are consistently portrayed as hopelessly prone to violence as the only solution to what ails them. This movie is vile and disgusting.
Editor: While I agree with the reviewer's premise, I find it interesting he falls into the same mistake he's accusing the movie-maker of making. While complaining the movie stereotypes black men as gangsters, he fears the movie will incite young black men to violence. Are they gangsters after all? And then he uses a very unfortunate metaphor in his last paragraph, comparing the hoped for failure of this movie with a baby's crib-death. We should rightly discern, but we should be also discerning about how we comment.

Victory over sexual violence
I was in a new town, no family, few friends close by, no health insurance and not a clue how to take care of myself during pregnancy.
One day, during a desperate call to a friend from home, I went over my so-called choices. She made a comment to me, “I know you are feeling overwhelmed with sadness and pain and despair right now, but just know, no single feeling lasts forever. An abortion will.” That hit me like a ton of bricks.
