Accountability, measurability, and innovation

How are accountability, measurability, and innovation (or continuous improvement) related to standardization? Why are they important for the coming regulation onslaught? To stay on the cutting edge of reaching abortion-minded women and effectively help them have their babies it is critically important that we understand these concepts. See my latest blog to add fodder to our discussion. We have spent a lot of time talking about the importance of standardization together but why is it important? Is it possible to maintain an environment of accountability without standardizing your services? Can we measure anything with any level of accuracy without true accountability? And absent any reliable long term data with objective definitions that is collected with a high degree of Quality Assurance can we even innovate? Jim Harden
