Abortion censorship in Canada

In 2001, the British Columbia provincial government passed Bill-21, censoring information related to abortion. News organizations and the public have no access to the amount of abortions being performed in their local hospitals (but details on every other surgical procedure is released), nor can they be made aware of any abortion-related deaths, complications, lobbying or advocacy.
