Nonprofits and elections

Although nonprofits in the United States can engage in a variety of election related activities, such as voter registration drives and lobbying, they face different restrictions than individuals and other types of corporations. A good place to start understanding election and campaign activities for nonprofits is the Internal Revenue itself (first link below).
