On Wednesday, Louisiana’s Choose Life License Plate Fund disbursed $64,421.20 equally to 20 agencies actively assisting women and babies in need. The plate’s fund has now disbursed over $100,000 to qualifying agencies since its inception in 1999. Benjamin Clapper, Executive Director of the Louisiana Right to Life Educational Committee, commented, “Today, 20 heroic agencies, from Monroe to Metairie, will receive a little bit of help from drivers in Louisiana that proudly display a Choose Life license plate on their car. Amidst many legal battles of the past 10 years, we are reminded today of the purpose of the plate: helping women and babies in need.” For every Choose Life license plate on the road, $25 a year is collected and placed in the Choose
