A tool in the hands of the 21st Century Pro-Life Movement

All over the world hundreds of pro-life organizations and thousands of praiseworthy initiatives are to be found. Many of these are doing an excellent job. But are we succeeding in getting young people on board in sufficient numbers?

The Pro Life-movement has the potential to become one of the largest grass-roots movements worldwide. We must use the tools that will reach young people via the Internet in every country. This is where we will get the message out and reach the young using the wide range of digital methods available –streaming audio, video and, of course, arguments. We must use the tools that influence people’s lifestyles and help them at their point of need, when they seek help and provide answers to the real questions they are asking.

The Swedish pro-life group Ja till Livet is launching Thoughts on Abortion. This international, user-generated Internet home page provides people with room to express in their own words their best reasons for choosing life. Anyone can log on and sign up in just two minutes and start giving their personal answers to abortion. All contributions can be commented on, ranked, shared with 30 different social networking sites and be reached via links from the entire Internet with the goal of gathering arguments in every available language.
