Birth Control Matters - Planned Parenthood Action Center Planned Parenthood has been lobbying for free birth control through its Birth Control Matters campaign, not for the sake of women, but to increase its financial bottom line.
While it claims free birth control will save taxpayers and insurance companies money in the long run by eliminating "unplanned" children, Planned Parenthood's sidekick, the Guttmacher Institute, reports that over half of the women who become pregnant in any given cycle are using some form of birth control. By throwing a perpetual birth control free-for-all, the abortion giant knows it will increase its sexually transmitted disease treatment business and its abortion business.
In addition, if Planned Parenthood can hand out free prescription birth control to everyone who walks in the door-not just those who qualify for free pills and devices under Medicaid, Title X, and other government programs-its cash registers will broadcast one long, sustained ka-ching!
