Speaker Pelosi, Call Your Science Advisor!

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) injected politics into her speech at the unveiling of a statue of President Ronald Reagan today on Capital Hill. And got her facts all wrong. In discussing Nancy Reagan's support of embryonic stem cell research, Speaker Pelosi noted: "Your support for stem-cell research has made a significant difference in the lives of many American people. It has saved lives. It has found cures. It has given hope to people." She's confusing embryonic stem cell research with "adult" stem cell research. FRC
