What is the value of emotion-stirring videos?

Watch this and comment.

I've seen a number of videos like this lately -- very well produced, all claiming in one way or another to be an effective tool for persuading women not to abort. But what's the persuasion? The "content" that turns their thoughts from thinking abortion is a solution (in time or too late) is a dream sequence, not any objective truth.

I think these might be effective before a young woman becomes pregnant. The images will stick in their minds and may be useful should they ever face an abortion decision. But it seems to be a product of our age that no words are used. What happens when opposite and equally compelling emotions surface again in the abortion-minded woman?

One viewer commented on Facebook that it might be a good tool for sidewalk counselors, on their smartphones or iPads. I'd like to hear what sidewalk counselors think? Would women going in to abortion clinics stop and watch this? Would it help you persuade them against abortion?
