Fake doc Massof pleads guilty in abortion murders - Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: A Mt. Lebanon man who passed himself off as a doctor pleaded guilty on Thursday to murder charges connected to his work at a Philadelphia abortion clinic that performed illegal late-term abortions.
Steven Massof, 49, is the fourth person to plead guilty among 10 snared in an investigation that horrified the state and led to legislation that would tighten regulations at clinics.
Massof faces a maximum of 80 to 160 years in prison for his pleas to two counts each of third-degree murder and conspiracy, and one count of participating in a corrupt organization at the now-closed Women's Medical Society clinic.
