News from Uganda

I wish you all could receive Veronica Nakyewe's newsletters from the Comforter's Center in Kampala, Uganda. Maybe if you emailed her, she'd add you to her list. She writes, "We see a common thread that connects us. That common thread is to be of service to the vital work of our times standing for life in Christ."

She goes on, "In schools where we take abstinence education, teenagers are shocked to learn that even if you are inside the body of your mum, you already have life. They are touched on the values of human life. This is shown by the sad looks on their faces, with sympathy for babies who are aborted. On a particular Thursday, there was this 'great discussion in one class' on abortion. Teenager wondered weather World Vision, Red Cross, UNICEF, and Save the Children are protecting babies from abortion. I told them that children of many nations have been killed and are still killed through abortion however, you being the leaders of today and tomorrow, you can do something to stop the massacre of children through abortion. This prompted another question, we need to write to UNICEF to protect children. I told them UNICEF is aware of what is happening but you can still write to them."

Editor: I hope these young people do write these organizations, and that the organizations listen to the ones they too often try to "help" with condoms and abortion.
