Planned Parenthood closes Lawrence office

Planned Parenthood closes Lawrence office | State | Wichita Eagle: The Planned Parenthood office in Lawrence, Kansas, has closed because of a lack of demand for its services, according to a notice in the window. The closure leaves three locations in Kansas — all in the Kansas City area — that provide abortion services, according to Kansans for Life, an anti-abortion organization.

That group's director, Mary Kay Culp, said the Lawrence office provided medical, or chemical, abortions, but did not do surgical procedures.
