Abortion agenda aimed at Hispanics, pro-lifers say: In the United States, where 15 percent of the population is Hispanic, about 25 percent of the abortions performed annually are done on Hispanic women.
Planned Parenthood opened its largest center in the country last March in a Houston, Texas, neighborhood that is predominantly Hispanic and black. The six-story building houses administrative offices as well as a clinic where women can have abortions up to the 24th week of pregnancy. And in Arizona, where about 30 percent of the population is of Hispanic origin, pro-lifers contend the organization has long set its sights on the minority community.
