New - The Corner - National Review Online: Before Christmas, the Centers for Disease Control released statistics showing that teen pregnancy rates in the United States have hit a record low. Not surprisingly these figures have received plenty of attention from the Washington Post and other media outlets. What is interesting is the way that the media is analyzing the decline. Many media sources have argued that the slow economy has caused teens to think twice before giving birth or engaging in sexual activity. The benefits of abstinence-only sex education receive only scant coverage.
