Mother loses baby after being given 'abortion' drug to induce labour

A leading teaching hospital is giving pregnant women an unlicensed abortion drug, Misoprostol, to induce labour despite being sued over the death of a baby. Misoprostol is only licensed in the UK for the treatment of stomach ulcers. Under official guidelines from the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, it should not be used to induce labour unless as part of a clinical trial. Telegraph
