The Abortioneers: On chives and choice

The Abortioneers: On chives and choice: "When my cat steps in my dinner plate . . . I do remove her, but I have to explain to her why I'm lifting her from my potatoes and how I do respect her right to dip her toes in the chives. She made the choice to encroach, I made the choice to overrule her, but I still need to explain and offer informed consent."

Editor: The blog doesn't want me to comment there, so I'll comment here. Where to begin? Okay, she seems to be saying informed consent is good. So why is it wrong to offer the same courtesy to women seeking abortions? And why is she willing to acknowledge the feelings of a cat, but not extend the same consideration to an unborn human being? Oh, the depths of the thought processes of 'abortioneers.'
