Debate ignites over Planned Parenthood funding as Washtenaw County officials OK human services plan: The Washtenaw County (MI) Board of Commissioners agreed Wednesday night on a plan to allocate $1 million from the county's general fund for community-based human services programs. Before the vote, several residents spoke out against the proposed use of taxpayer dollars to fund Planned Parenthood, one of several agencies slated to receive money.
