Abolitionist Society of Oklahoma: Where our Passion and Compassion comes from.: We judge that abortion is absolutely wrong. What we should not do is judge people as unworthy of our help. For if we say the unborn bear the image of God, so also do those men and women who are engaging in the destruction of the unborn. Bearing the image of God is not due to innocence, for if it were, we also would have lost ours. It is due to God's love and mercy toward us and His desire to know us and be known by us. Every person, no matter their sins or past, has the opportunity to do this through Jesus Christ. It is through His passion we find our compassion.

Editor: It's very disturbing to me when pro-life Christians engage in character assassination. It's okay, good, and right to disagree with the President, opponents in Congress, and abortionists -- and to point out where they're wrong -- but it must be dismaying to Christ the way they are attacked and belittled.
