Abstinence-only proves effective

"In the ninth grade, I heard the abstinence-only-until marriage message. It changed my life forever." Abstinence-only-until-marriage programs are not presenting sex as a bad thing. On the contrary, sex is presented as something worth waiting for. Current and accurate facts are being presented to students, empowering them to rethink their position, thoughts and views of sex. Students are not being told what to do. Rather, we are giving information consistent with the facts, allowing them to make the decision for themselves. Bradenton Herald letter to the editor
