Conservatives laud Gore's investment in ethical stem cell research

Opponents of embryo research have used an investment last week by former vice president Al Gore, as a new pretext to attack research on embryonic stem cells. The attacks have put some Republicans in the awkward position of supporting someone they otherwise dislike. New Scientist

Editor: I don't find awkward at all to approve when our opponents do right. Here's more on an issue raised earlier about iPS. The last 'talking point' on this paper from Do No Harm seems to lay to rest Dianne Irving's concern that it involves embryos after all. I'm still researching this and will let you know what I come up with.
