The Purple Envelope Project is an attempt to "put feet" to the Red Envelope Campaign that saw over 2 million empty red envelopes sent to the White House in March. Blogger Lauren would like everyone who sent a red envelope to put a dollar and a thank-you note inside a purple envelope and send it to Care Net or Heartbeat International in support of Option Line. I'd like to suggest folks give a bit more sacrificially, and send their donations to local PCCs. Nevertheless, this is a campaign we can all get behind.
As I said during the Red Envelope Campaign, the pro-life movement needs more than empty gestures. With the economy on the skids, PCCs are struggling. But this is just the time that women will need them more than ever. We can't let one PCC fail! Additional commentary here and here.
