Sebelius vetoes abortion bill

Gov. Kathleen Sebelius vetoed a bill that would have rewritten Kansas’ restrictions on late-term abortions, questioning whether it was constitutional and suggesting it would cause “intimidation” of doctors. The bill would have required doctors to report additional information to the state about late-term abortions and would have allowed more prosecutors to pursue criminal charges over late-term procedures.
