Planned Parenthood: Abortion rate corresponds to government funding
The Planned Parenthood Federation of America has released its annual report for fiscal year 2007-2008, which shows the nation's largest abortion business is growing. According to the data from 1997 to the present, the increase in government funding corresponds with an increase in the number of abortions (see chart). Yet, prenatal care and adoption referrals resulted for only 5 percent of the total services provided to women in 2007 while abortions accounted for 95 percent of the services that year (see chart).
